Terms of Service

Last updated: [PLACEHOLDER date]

Template notice: this is a starting-point template with placeholders, not legal advice. Replace the bracketed values and have it reviewed before launch.

These terms govern your purchase and use of digital skills sold by Clawshop (legal entity name — PLACEHOLDER)(“we”, “us”) through Clawshop Skills. By buying or using a skill, you agree to them.

What you're buying

Each skill is a digital product: a software bundle plus a licence key that lets you install and run it inside your own OpenClaw runtime, on your own hardware. You buy a one-off licence — you are not renting access, and there is no recurring subscription required to keep using the version you purchased.

Licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the purchased skill for your own use. Each licence includes updates for the period stated on the product page (currently 12 months); continued use after that period does not require further payment. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense the skill or its licence key.

Delivery

Delivery is electronic and automatic. On successful payment, our Merchant of Record sends your licence key and a download link to the email you provide at checkout. It is your responsibility to provide a valid email address.

Payments, tax and the Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as the Merchant of Record (seller of record) for your order and is responsible for charging and remitting applicable VAT and sales taxes. Your contract of sale for payment purposes is with the Merchant of Record; these terms govern your use of the skill itself.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the skills to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to circumvent the licence. Skills run on your hardware and act under your direction; you are responsible for how you use them.

Availability and “coming soon” skills

Some skills are listed before they are available for purchase. Joining a waitlist is not a purchase and creates no obligation on either side beyond us contacting you about that skill.

Disclaimers and liability

Skills are provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law in your country. [PLACEHOLDER: jurisdiction-specific liability wording — have a lawyer complete this.]

Changes

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date reflects the current version.
