What we know about you, which is almost nothing.

What reaches us, and when

The contact form on this site does not send anything to a server of ours. It opens your own mail programme with the message filled in, and you send it — so it travels from your mailbox to ours the way any email does, and never passes through this site at all.

If you do write to us, we keep the thread for as long as we need it to answer you and to have a record of what was agreed. You can ask us to delete it.

Nothing else on this site collects anything. There is no form that quietly posts somewhere, no chat widget, no newsletter sign-up.

What the server records

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like every web server, it writes a line for each request: the IP address it came from, the time, the page and the browser that asked. That is how a page gets delivered and how abuse gets spotted.

We do not use those logs to build a picture of anyone, and we do not join them to anything else. They are not a stand-in for the analytics we chose not to install.

What is stored in your browser

Two things: which language you picked (the word “en” or “nl”), and whether you closed the cookie notice. Both sit in your browser's own storage, contain nothing else and never leave your device.

There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no social pixels and no fingerprinting. The cookie statement lists every entry by name.

Who else sees anything

Vercel, because they serve the site and therefore handle the request. The typefaces come from goudbeek.com itself, not from a font service such as Google Fonts, so opening a page does not send your IP address anywhere else.

Nobody else. No advertising network, no data broker, no “partners”. The links to LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok are ordinary links: nothing is sent to them unless you click one.

What we would never do

Sell or rent anything about you. Track you across other websites. Buy a list and email it. Put a pixel on this site because a tool asked nicely.

We build AI systems for a living and spend most of our time deciding what a system may not reach. It would be a strange way to run the website.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, have it corrected, have it deleted, object to us using it, or ask for it in a portable form. Email us and we will handle it, within one month as the GDPR requires. What we are legally required to keep, such as invoices, is kept for as long as the law says. There is no form and no queue.

If you think we have handled your data badly and we cannot resolve it between us, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Who is responsible

Goudbeek is responsible for the personal data handled through this site. Goudbeek is the business of Sam Goudbeek, based in Almere, the Netherlands.
